Diana Seaders is a native of Salem, Oregon. She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She then went on to complete a Master of Business Association degree at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management in Salem. During that time, she developed and ran a business, raised funds for Meals on Wheels and studied abroad in Denmark.
Her career first began in the pharmaceutical industry in sales. However, after 3 years as a pharmaceutical representative, her true passion to practice medicine as a Physician Assistant came to the fore.
She entered the world of clinical research while volunteering for Volunteers in Medicine to gain patient care experience. In 2010, she was accepted into Pacific University’s Physician Assistant program and awarded the program’s “Community Service Scholarship.”
Diana underwent intense medical training while achieving her Master degree in Physician Assistant Studies and completed clinical rotations across the country including Pearl Harbor’s Naval base, Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, and even Cascade Surgical Oncology! After becoming national board-certified in 2012, she took a position in the Hematology/Oncology department of the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. While very thankful for the opportunity, she realized she left her heart and home back in Oregon. She and her husband returned to Oregon in September of 2013, where she happily accepted a position at Cascade Surgical Oncology.
Diana is married to a wonderful man named Ryan with whom she loves sharing life. No kids at present but they feel like they are parents to their gorgeous, but high-maintenance, Abyssinian cat, Cleo. In her spare time, Diana enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She thrives on running and hiking outdoors and never gets tired of the beauty Oregon has to offer.
“I am truly fascinated by all facets of medicine, but am particularly drawn to Oncology because I feel it is an especially rewarding and meaningful place to be. I love that I get to be part of the team at Cascade Surgical Oncology making a positive impact in the lives of others every day I go to work.”
