Dr. Thomas P. Trezona is originally from Portland and received his undergraduate degree from Portland State University in biology. He then attended graduate school at Portland State University in microbial genetics. His medical training was received at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He then did a General Surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Southern California. He received his Surgical Oncology and Medical Oncology training at the Stehlin Oncology Clinic and Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research in Houston, Texas.
He remained at the Stehlin Oncology Clinic for two additional years and in 1994 was awarded the Houston's Consumer Choice Award for Health Care Providers as the Physician of the Year. Most recently he was recognized as one of Lane County's Best Doctors in a survey done by Eugene Magazine.
Dr. Trezona moved to Eugene and opened Cascade Surgical Oncology in 1995. He is board certified and an active member in the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, and other national and international Surgical and Oncological Societies. He has published extensively in the oncology literature. Dr. Trezona is the only Surgical Oncologist between Portland and San Francisco with a focus of complete cancer care. He cares for both the surgical and medical oncology needs of his patients in a personal and compassionate way. This specialized focus draws patients from beyond the Eugene/Springfield area. He sees patients from throughout the Willamette Valley, central and southern Oregon and northern California
He is married and the father of 2 daughters. Dr. Trezona relaxes with woodworking, boating, and maintaining a coral reef aquarium.
