Dr. Thomas P. Trezona is originally from Portland and received his undergraduate degree from Portland State University in biology. He then attended graduate school at Portland State University in microbial genetics. His medical training was received at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He then did a general surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Southern California. He received his surgical oncology and medical oncology training at the Stehlin Oncology Clinic and Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research in Houston, Texas. He remained at the Stehlin Oncology Clinic for two additional years and in 1994 was awarded the Houston's Consumer Choice Award for Health Care Providers as the Physician of the Year. Dr. Trezona moved to Eugene and opened the Cascade Surgical Oncology Clinic in 1995. He is board certified and an active member in the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Society of Regional Cancer Therapy, the American Society of Breast Disease and the Society of Integrative Cancer Care. He has published extensively in the oncology literature. Dr. Trezona relaxes with woodworking, gardening and maintaining a coral reef aquarium. He is married and the father of two young girls. Dr. Trezona is the only surgical oncologist between Portland and San Francisco with a focus of comprehensive cancer care.
